Actress Sarah Stubbs, pictured above, is announcing that Director, actor and Filmmaker Wonedwossen Goshu and The Goshu Relish Production company are in production and shooting their first feature film, “Shut Your Blog Off”, this month and into August, right here in Houston. This drama, suspense and a little romance film is about a news reporter trying to standout and make a name for himself. As he takes on his first assignment, he uncovers an insurance scandal that is sure to win him the Investigation Award. Wanting to shed some light on the issue, he begins posting his findings on his blog. But, not everyone wants the truth to be revealed and they will go to lengths to keep him quiet.
Casting includes Sarah Stubbs, Bobby Simpson II, Kay Salem, Joe Grisaffi, Pat Henderson, Julitta Pourchau, Bryant Adkins, Luke Lumpkin, James Lapman, Jenni Tillots, Michelle-Marie Barrau, James Shade, James Walk, Bill Ross, Denis Lawrence and Wonedwossen Goshu, who plays the lead. Filmmaker Wonedwossen has lived in the Houston area for several years now and believes Houston is the place to make films. According to Wonedwossen, “Making this movie is part of my efforts to rejuvenate the Houston film Industry. All Houston Filmmaker need to work on stimulating the industry locally, utilizing it’s potential.” Working on the “Shut Your Blo Off” is cinematographer/editor Robert Pena, Art Director/Mixer and Filmmaker Manuel Cantu, (he was in one of our C-47 Houston issues last year), special effects by Pat Henderson, crew support by Scott Jacobs, PA Abenezer Goshu and unit photographer John St. Germain. “Shut Your Blog Off” is scheuduled to be in the can by the end of July or early August and will be screened at the Rice Media Center in November of this year.
